AME and Wolters Kluwer aim to expand access to global medical research through new collaboration

The agreement broadens the reach of nearly 50 Open Access titles, contributing globally to over 5,000 articles

October 2, 2025 — Wolters Kluwer Health announced a new collaboration with AME Publishing Company, an Open Access publisher specializing in medical journals and books, headquartered in Hong Kong, China.

New Impact Factor for Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology: 2.5

We are pleased to announce that the Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology (TGH) has attained its latest impact factor update for the 2024 citation year: 2.5 (Figure 1).

Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology 2024 CiteScore Released: 5.6

We are pleased to announce that the Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology (TGH) has achieved its 2024 CiteScore: 5.6, ranking 41 out of 173 journals in the Gastroenterology category and 30 out of 87 journals in the Hepatology category. This milestone underscores our ongoing commitment to publishing impactful research in the field.

In 2025, TGH reviewers continue to make outstanding contributions to the peer review process. They demonstrated professional effort and enthusiasm in their reviews and provided comments that genuinely help the authors to enhance their work.

TGH 2024 Annual Report

Greetings from the Editorial Office of Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology (TGH)!

We are pleased to share with you the 2024 Annual Report of TGH. 2024 has seen much progress for the journal:

TGH received its impact factor update for the 2023 citation year: 3.8.
TGH has published 77 articles in 2024 and TGH authors mainly come from USA.
TGH website has obtained 261,674 pageviews from 100,777 users in 2024 (Data Source: Google Analytics on Dec. 31, 2024).
Number of total citations by articles indexed in Web of Science Core Collection has significantly increased to 6,108 (updated on Jan 2, 2025).

Interviews with Editorial Board Members

TGH features a distinguished editorial board, the members of which continue to instill the power of their expertise for the journal’s development. By launching this column, we are glad to introduce to you some of them in the form of interviews, in which they will share their unique career experiences and perspectives. We believe their insights will shed light on the knowledge of related fields.

Starting from July 2021, AME Publishing Company is formally recognized a publisher member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and over 60 AME-published journals become a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as part of AME’s commitment to best practice in scholarly publishing. Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology (TGH) is among the list of COPE membership.

AME entered an official partnership with Publons to enhance wide-ranging recognition for reviewers

AME Publishing Company entered an official partnership with Publons, a product of Clarivate Analytic Company (which owns Web of Science, EndNote, ScholarOne, among many others), as of April 2020. Around 60 AME journals’ peer review systems are now integrated seamlessly into the Publons platform (https://publons.com/about/home). The partnership was done to recognize our expert peer reviewers spontaneously for their review contribution.

Implementation of transparent peer review at Translational Gastroenterology and Hepatology

With a commitment to openness and accountability, and to increase the level of transparency throughout our peer review process, our editorial office has decided to implement a transparent peer review process as an option for all manuscripts submitted to TGH from March 19, 2020.
