Published: 2016-06-15

Dear all,

We are glad to announce that the book Gastric Cancer (Figure 1) has been officially published by the AME Publishing Company in 2015.

Figure 1: The book Gastric Cancer was published by the AME Publishing Company

Although gastric cancer mortality has declined markedly around the world, it remains a worldwide public health problem especially in Asia. The diagnosis and management of gastric cancer has gradually improved over the past decades. Early diagnosis and treatment is believed to be the key to improve the prognosis of gastric cancer.

This new book, Gastric Cancer, is committed to make clinicians and researchers gain a better understanding and treating of gastric cancer. It is comprised of eight sections including diagnosis, multidisciplinary approach, surgical research, surgical video, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy and translational research of gastric cancer. Most notably, those 35 surgical video articles surely will present the readers a more lively reading experience.

Our Editor-in-Chief for Gastric Cancer is Prof. Jiafu Ji from Peking University School of Oncology & Beijing Cancer Hospital. The Associate Editors-in-Chief are Prof. Hyung-Ho Kim from Seoul National University and Prof. Guy D. Eslick from The Sydney Medical School Nepean. The Assistant Editor is Prof. Sang-Hoon Ahn from Seoul National University.

The book rounds up 287 internationally recognized leaders who come from 15 different countries to provide readers with structured information in the fascinating and challenging field of gastric cancer (Table 1). For more information about the authors, please click here.
